Mandriva 2008 Spring One Gnome preliminary look

A while ago I took a look at Mandriva 2008 Spring RC1 inside VirtualBox. Today, the 2008 Spring final release was announced. I decided to install it on my main laptop (Acer 5920). Here’s a few quick notes. Perhaps a full review will follow later. This time I downloaded the One GNOME i586 version.

A VirtualBox that is. This is a quick look at Mandriva 2008.1 (Spring) One RC1 which was released March 1, 2008.
The latest releases from Mandriva have received many positive reviews, so I was curious at their latest offering. While it’s not final yet, this is an RC, so it should be in a reviewable state. [...]
